There aren't many cafes on Kuroshima but this is a good one. Slip your shoes off and enjoy a warm, homey atmosphere with the owner's kids peeking from behind the curtains, soft jazz music and a cute little cat sneaking around the tables. The pineapple shake was perfect in the horrendously hot weather and the seaweed toast is worth a try. Keep an eye on the time here, orders are served at... a relaxed island pace, so be sure not to miss your ferry back to Ishigaki!

Small and cozy cafe that you forget you’re on small isolated island of Okinawa. You can purchase cute items from Thailand, Africa and probably Tokyo. Highly recommend to visit

A little family cafe, so family that there were 3 cute little girls running around barefoot. They kindly opened the cafe even though we came during the closed hours. Nice cake, and lots of trinkets to look at.

Definitely a hidden gem! Don't miss it when you on the island. (note only open 2-5pm on Fri/Sat/Sun, other dates from 12pm). We came in on a super hot Saturday afternoon, very chill inside. Nice decor with relaxing Bosa Nova music. Owner the lady was super friendly (her two girls as well) speaks a little English. Recommend the Ice Coffee, Pumpkin cake and Ice Macha(with condensed milk)!
